Each year two individuals, nominated by members of the public, are inducted into this prestigious Hall of Fame.
2011 Inductee, Carlos Castañeda was born in the small town of Delta and grew up in various parts of Colorado, including the Rocky Ford area where he worked in the beet and onion fields with his parents and siblings. Today, as director of Grupo Tlaloc Danza Azteca, Carlos teaches the community about the traditional ways of the original people of this Northwestern Hemisphere through art, song, dance, music, language, history and philosophy, on a cultural and spiritual base.
He says his goal is to teach all he can to all who are willing to learn, and to instill the teachings of the traditional ways in the heart, mind, body and spirit of the people who are proud of their heritage.
